Central Nebraska | We have a MX 220, Mx 255 and a 275. We haven't had any problems with the injection pump on the 255 yet. I was told you wouldn't have any problems with the CAPS system providing you don't fill the fuel filter before installing it. Install it without any fuel in it and hook the bleeder nipple onto the injection pump and turn the key on so it purges all the air. This spring we also put a new electric fuel lift pump in because it was leaking. Regarding what tractors not to buy, the early Mx, pre 2000, there is a hole in the frame ahead of the fuel tank that has been known to break. | |
