Martinsville, Ohio

Very sorry to hear that, we were heading up there for some Maid Rites when we realized we started to late and didn't have enough time left.

A Versailles area farmer was killed when his jacket got caught on the shaft of a corn auger on his farm.

Darke County deputies said that Nicholas L. Grillot, 64, was working at 8606 Hager Road, just north of Versailles, where he was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday afternoon.

Deputies said that Grillot was removing corn from a grain bin when the accident happened.

The call to Darke County 911 was made at 1:34 p.m.

CareFlight was dispatched to the scene, but was later cancelled. Paramedics then called for the county coroner.

Tell Fender Bender Winkle said Hi, he has been a great supporter, haven't talked to him in awhile. Corn will regrow from the growing point as long as it is low and it still is but killing frost on beans and they are done. Beans are emerging here, corn sprouting to 2 leaf to a few 4 leaf fields.
