Panhandle of Ne.
the way this growing season is starting. We had a spell of warmer weather last of March into mid April which lured some farmers into planting beets then it has turned cold every since except for a couple days a week. Lot of beets re-planted because of frost. Supposed to be in the 70's Mon. and Tue. then turn cold again w/chance of snow/rain by Thurs/Fri with lo's in the mid 20's hi's in upper 40's. The ground temp had gotten up to 62, checked it last Mon. had dropped down to 48, warmed up a couple days, back up to 51 then late week turned cold again w/some snow. Haven't checked ground temp since. Really don't want to. If it doens't start warming up and staying warm, going to be real hard to make a crop.

I know it can turn around in a hurry, but this is colder than last spring and that was pretty dang cold.
