Nothing wrong with having a second set of tips.

Biggest problem with Gramoxone is lack of good coverage. Biggest reason for lack of good coverage is insufficient volume.

It all depends on how much vegetation you are trying to burn down with the Gramoxone. If you have scattered weeds, say 4" tall, you might be okay with what you are planning.  If you have dense foliage and/or taller vegetation, you will need good coverage.

I'm not a "Gramoxone expert" - but this is my opinion.

edit:  I pulled this off the Syngenta website:

http://www.syngentacropprotection.com/prodrender/index.aspx?nav=APPLICATION&ProdID=953&ProdNM=Gramoxone%20Inteon

  • Gramoxone Inteon® herbicide should be applied to emerged weeds between one and six inches tall.
  • Complete foliage coverage is essential for control.
  • Apply the mixture at a minimum volume of 10 gallons per acre with flat-fan nozzles at 30 to 50 psi.
  • Use a non-ionic surfactant or crop oil concentrate with Gramoxone Inteon.
  •

Hey, what do I know?  Like I said...... I'm not a Gramoxone expert. Just to be sure, I would suggest reading the label first.
