Subject: JD 4640 Hydraulic vs IH 800 Cyclo Planter

IH 800 markers will not drop unless I idle down the tractor. It will work in a pinch but I need to get it addressed. Problem is definately with the tractor as the planter worked fine with 4430 last year after switching tractors. Is this a case of too much pressure on the tractor hydraulic? Shouldn't be leak by issue as I am trying to move the markers down with the hydraulic. I will try to get a pressure guage put on it tomorrow but was wondering if anyone has run into a similar problem. So far the planter marker system has held up fine but that will be the next post judging from the previous posters! Planters are rolling on corn in SE ND, field is ready but the calender and lack of moisture is keeping me patient....well sort of anyway.
