Maybe a good idea to diversify. Here you can sell milo at the corn price. Worst case sounds like you can get your inputs paid for with 40 bushel sorghum if you can sell it for $3. Did you include dual and concep. or you dont have grass weeds? Will you need a spray for midge, or for worms? Is rent included. seems like it costs closer to $200 to grow around here. Nothing wrong with diversifying. We got 2" of rain in June and 2" in July last year on sand. Perfect conditions in April, May, and August. Corn was total failure, milo might have made 40 bushels, but dont know. Heck, it might have made something at least. Your land might not produce very good sorghum either, do you know whats wrong with it? We usually think of "good land" as good land, and poor as poor.
