If you're using GPS only, things can get sketchy when you are down to 4-6 satellites. Here in eastern IA, there are only 6 available for a little while around 6 PM, but that varies by location. Did you happen to notice how many satellites it was seeing, if it was on RTK or WAAS, or any of the DOPs?
