West Kentucky
We finished planting today and I already have a few regrets. The ground worked great and the planter worked great, however, I wish I had left more residue on the surface on some of these fields. It is already getting dry here and I wish we would have left a little more residue to help hold moisture if we do happen to get a rain soon. The first planted corn is up and looking great. The second planted corn is struggling to get through the hard crust of the ground that we worked and then had a hard rain. The last corn should come up fine because there is enough moisture and they are not calling for rain until atleast the last of next week. Our goal is to be finished planting by april 15th most years, but the corn does not normally come up as quick as it has this year.
