Dew here means no rain for at least a day or so too and conversely, no dew can mean rain coming, except in very hot, dry nights. East wind here usually forbodes storm coming (but they don't always hit). Red sky at night usually means good weather (just like sailors say). Weatherman rarely makes it above .500, might as well do the opposite of what he says here.
