Subject: Drill settings

North-Central Oklahoma
Going to try sowing some soybeans this spring. My question is on on my grain drill settings. I have a Krause 5250 drill - 10" spacing. The rates on the charts are based on the 10" spacing. If I tape off every other row (for 20" spacing) does that decrease the actual sowed rate in half? In otherwords, if I want to sow 45# per acre, should I set the drill so that it is dropping at the 90# rate?
