Subject: Heavy rains moving across Illinois

Driftless SW Wisconsin

There are some heavy rains moving across Illinois this evening.  "First of a wave of severe storms" over the plains and midwest the next few days according to Accuweather.  Should answer the should I plant or not questions.

I was starting to worry about it getting awful dry for this time of year... We've had about 3/4" so far this evening near DeKalb.

About the time we're done with this should be about the right time to plant. It's early yet.

Edit: Here is a link to a very useful Midwest weather radar 3-hr loop from Northern Illinois University that covers most of the US cornbelt pretty well. It helps you to see how the fronts are developing and moving.
