Central Kansas
Huskie is a new one that has great activity on most any broadleaf weed. I believe it can be applied up to flagleaf. It may cost a little more, but if crop safety is at risk, the cost can be recouped quickly in an injury situation. I don't know if MCP is safe after joint, but it is recommended as a tank-mix partner.
Has anyone talked to southern winter wheat growers about the leaf disease scenario. I read a report based out of Texas A&M a couple weeks ago that had some varieties that we plant (Art, Santa Fe, Fuller). I couldn't make out what the infection levels were, but the agronomist said it was the worst stripe rust he'd ever seen. It was affecting varieties that in years past had been holding resistance. I guess we'll see how the weather holds. May be shaping up to be a big fungicide run.
