The angle of repose of dry corn is in the under 30 degrees. Anything steeper then that can work if you size the downspout big enough. We have one which is in the 35 degree range and it has not been a problem. We do try to feed it slow the first few thousand bushels each year, to make sure it is clean and sliding good, and it is scheduled to be filled when corn is dry.
