The soil temperature in Central Texas is roughly 50º to 55º roughly what it is in NE Louisiana.
Maybe colder now that we had this cold Norther with cold rain some snow for those up just north of Fort Worth.

I freeze when the temperatures are below 80º

Not sure how far along folks are planting corn, HERE, but there has been a lot planted, even being as wet as it has been.
