During the drought of the 1950's it was fairly common to graze milo. Reason was the pastures were giving out and that was the only feed available. Period!
No mention was made of nitrate or prussic acid.
Interesting thing is, no lessons were learned from the Drought of the 50's, when the cattle industry was in the tank.
