I carry Cat on my corn with hail. Cost for more protection is too high. I have endured severe drought and still get 70% normal yield. As they say, the insurance is in the bag now. Watch what you buy, and beware of the type soil planted on. Do some price protection. Soys, usually carry some insurance, yield can be variable more in this area.
