I know of a guy who is selling calcium nitrate and has a couple salesmen promoting it. I have used a soluble calcium and sprayed and have been very happy with it on alfalfa and grass. I haven't had as much experience on corn and beans but am using some there and have seen improvements especially on the alkali soils. Do you know what product it is?

i'm not sure what product it is, just that it's calcium and you spray it on. so is that the main basis for applying calcium? to soften up your heavy clay soils?

and what about the calcium tying up phos?
