Central Illinois
By having a base, I have eliminated the variable (annual) cost of the equation. I would still have to upgrade a receiver from WAAS to RTK and also get a radio. Even on WAAS, I have captured most the benefit of guidance in tillage (I may save at most one round per field on RTK). In NH3 I may have a little more savings, but I am having trouble justifying it because I will not use it for planting, strip till, or spraying. I am estimating the cost to upgrade would be around $4000 with used equipment.
