| Has anyone ever had a problem with their 12 volt batteries dying when trying to do an absolute base survey for Deere RTK? Sometimes, after the 24 hour surveying period, we'll plug our display in to the harness only to have the display power up with no receiver power. We rotate batteries each day so that we have a charged battery when we start each survey. If we reboot the whole system with the charged battery it powers up both the receiver and display, but shows that the survey was not completed. I'm assuming this is because the battery isn't strong enough to keep the receiver surveying for the full 24 hrs. This happens to us roughly half the time we try a survey. Anyone else had a problem with this before? I was thinking about putting a solar trickle charger on the batteries when I put them in the field. Any thoughts? | |
