Tilley, Alberta | Down here we aim for 32-36 plants per square foot. Alberta Ag has a seeding rate calculator that assists you on this calculation. Here is the link- http://www.agric.gov.ab.ca/app19/loadSeedRateCalc. You need to get some info from your seed retailer as to seed 1000kernel weight, and germination for the variety you want to seed. It is pretty user friendly. Good luck!
