My soil tests called for 5lbs of actual zinc for next years corn crop. I was wondering what the best way to apply this would be. Have been tossing around the idea of banding 2 pounds on with the strip till and then 2 more pounds with a 2x2 set up on the planter. I have been told that zinc separates from the starter and is a pain to get applied evenly across a field. Have also been considering broadcasting dry down. Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

I don't know what's the best way, but I have zinc sulfate blended with my dry pre-plant incorporated fert. I have seen my soil test values rise.

Banding two pounds, I wonder if toxicity would be an issue? I don't know.
