Grand Rapids, MI | The NAIP imagery seems to be available about 1/2 of the time. I think they are getting such a demand for it that it is overwhelming their servers. And yes, it can take 2-3 days from ordering to when the download is available. Perhaps if possible we should try to burn a disk for a neighbor that wants the images rather than refering them to the website to ease the load on USDA's servers.
Your best bet is to check the "system status" box on the homepage http://datagateway.nrcs.usda.gov/GatewayHome.html it will tell you if the NAIP imagery is not available. | |
