Subject: Re: Barley

The middle of Maryland's Eastern Shore
Cerone is a growth regulator that helps the barley stand up. We only grow thorobred barley. When we were growing Nomini we used the Cerone on it also. Our practice is to shoot for 120 bu/ac. To do that you have to put on the N. Putting Cerone on is automatically calculated into our cost for growing barley. We also have a standing order with Jeff Chorman our spray plane operator to apply the Cerone. We have seen where the Thorobred seems to have problems with powerdy mildew. Starting to think that it may become standard procedure that we might have to spray for it as well.
