Subject: Re: Liquid Ammonium Sulfate spraying Glyphospate

From the NDSU Weed Guide:
"Always add AMS to Roundup. AMS enhances Roundup absorption and translocation and deactivates antagonistic hard water salts. Addition of AMS increases weed control under
good and adverse growing conditions even in the absence of antagonistic salts in water.
4-6 # of AMS/100 gal. of water is usually adequate."

Other thoughts:
The dry form of spray grade AMS is the most cost effective. The liquid types are about double the price, as you are just buying water.

For many retailers, with the low margins in generic glyphoste, a profit center is in the various AMS versions and adjuvents.

It is all about the importance of the AMS in using glyphosate.
