Southern Alberta | If it takes 32 days for 1/2 of the glphosate to disappear it in no way means that the remainder is going to disappear at the same rate. It could mean that the easier to dispose of molecules went first and the remainder will take less or more time to disappear. Everything has different rates of disappearance. It could mean that the remaining 1/2 will disappear in 10 days or it could be a 1000 days.
It is not a perfect reation senario where you get .5 gone in 30 days and 50% of the remainder gone in the next 30 days.
Take a puddle of water. If it takes on average 5 days for the first 1/2 of the puddle to dissappear in april of every year, it does not give any indication of the average time for the other 1/2 of the puddle to dissappear. It could be 2 days or 10 days or 100 days. Degrading chemicals by bacteria and other forces are not like radiation. | |
