Haven't planted a lot of 38" beans, but we had good luck with Croplan 4877 last year. Also some Asgrow 4903 & 4907 did well. We plant several acres of those  94B73's mentioned below, but have never planted them on wide rows. In our experience and on our soils, there are other beans that will outyield them on good dirt, but I still can't find a bean that will hang with the B73's on marginal ground. My experiences may not be relevant to you though, all mine are planted dryland.
