Some of the above posts mention Tordon. Do not use in your garden. Tordon persits in the soil a long time and I suspect that many garden plants will not even come close to surviving Tordon in the soil. A little Tordon in a garden would go a long way! It would kill the trees though.

Just hoeing them out would be my suggestion.
