The round up gene either RR1 or RR2 doesn't mean more yield verse a non gmo bean. The round up program is strictly a weed management system. Yield is in the genetics.
If a bean came on the market that could produce 7% more yield it would be due to genetics, and something that people need to look at to increase profits. Seems to me that some of these beans that are higher yield can also fall apart(like the RR2 did this yr) if something challenges there weakness. | |
