| We have been using Lumax as a postplant/preemergence herbicide for a few years now and I have been thinking about testing a preemergence herbicide mixture without Atrazine this year on a few acres. I want to use the other components of Lumax, which are Dual II Magnum and Callisto, and I am looking for suggestions as to what would be a good product to add to those two to take the place of Atrazine. Callisto seems to take care of the atrazine resistant broadleaf weeds.
I am aware that Atrazine is under review again, as of October 2009, and I just want to be prepared in case the use of it becomes heavily restricted.
Any thoughts on using just the Dual II Magnum and Callisto? Maybe adding Python WDG or how about Sharpen? Anything better/cheaper on grasses then Dual II Magnum? We have used Simazine in the past along with Atrazine but I want to try something different. We use Outlook on soybeans but have never used it on corn. Any suggestions are appreciated! | |
