We do periodically set up planters for ammonia. They use the 3004 setup. I would really only want to get into a setup like this in a no till situation. You will be running 4-5 in deep and 3.5-4 in from the center of the row and typically applying 80-120lbs. This would be doable on a 1770 series Deere or Kinze Twin Line and some newer CNH planters.
