We used Interstate batteries for years & have experienced the same thing. One battery will last a long time & another will go bad within a year or less. Have experienced that with two identical batteries bought at the same time & put into the same piece of equipment. Have tried other brands of batteries with similiar results. Seems like no replacement battery lasts as long as the original.
