Subject: RE: Deere Oils - a different question.

Seaford, Delaware
Larry,

Here is some information on the new John Deere oil:

1. Will be called Torque- Gard Supreme II.
2. Will be available in 15w-40 and 10w-30 viscosity grades.
3. Basestock will be a synthetic blend of Group II an Group III Hydrocracked oils.
4. Available November 2009 in certain regions.
5. Specified for use in 2010 John Deere Tier 4/Stage IIIB engines.
6. Cooled EGR and DOC will be used in 2010 75 hp and above engines.
7. Cooled EGR, DOC, and DPF will be used in 174 hp and above engines.
8. 500 hour drain intervals recommended with oil analysis, however this is being debated by the API due to the increased emissions and basestocks chosen.
9. The Plus 50 II will be manufactured by ChevronTexaco and ConocoPhillips to John Deere's specifications.

Hope this helps!

Alan
