East Central Kansas
We have been doing that system for close to 15 years now. And there are several guys in my area that swear by the system of dual banding NH3 and 10-34-0. I had an old Farmland fertilizer book that talked about that system and the efficency that is gained by having the two applied together in the same zone. I need to try to find that and scan a copy. Last year when dry 18-46-0 got so much cheaper than 10-34-0, we started thinking maybe we need to start looking at a dry machine, but the price of them are very high. Glad to see the two forms got closer together for this year. We bought a newer applicator this winter and we stayed with the NH3/liquid combo. We will run a mole knife on it with the 10-34-0 coming out about 2 inches above the NH3. I highly rec dual app to anyone.
