Subject: Monolithic slab for steel building?

On the earlier thread talking about grain bins on floating slabs, It appeared the general consensus was to use a footing instead of a "floating slab" . What about a monolithic type slab for a steel building 60X 80 in a area where the frost depth is around 2 feet? How about putting the steel I beam upright coulmns on their own footer pad below frost depth and then doing the rest of the shop slab monolithic? Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
