Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums. | None of the lower Atlantic states are prepared for snow like this. This was fourth biggest of all time. We usually get a couple inches. A foot is rare, and usually it melts a lot in the few days following. This was abnormal. The state usually does the salt and has some plows, but not enough to keep up with double big storms. To make it worse it was unusually heavy wet snow. It was pretty tough to get around for a while just to the north of me. |
