Actually a Boss Steel Power V is lighter than any Western straight blade by about 200 lbs. If you have Plow Prep package there is no issue. I have 3 Duramaxs, 03 3500, 06 2500HD Crewcab Shortbox, 06 2500HD Reg cab, all are running Boss 8'2" Power V's, and have had no issues on the front end, and that's with plowing commerially.
