We've had a 1" Harbor Freight special for about 15 years. It's not been too bad a wrench, although I think the I-R 3/4" has about as much snoose. The HF wrench might have been a bit peppier when it was new. We had to make a couple minor repairs to keep it going too. Probably not a bad buy for most farms, but there's a reason why the tire pros use I-R.

Edit: If you deal with mostly Budds, I'd advise looking for one that has equal max torque in both directions. If you are working mostly on hub piloted rims, I'd get one with more reverse torque.
