Subject: Dad did love his 'M'

Le Sueur VIA St.Thomas
Dad's biggest/nicest tractor was a JD 4020 w/a hiniker cab. Not much in the way of creature comforts, but I preferred it over the Farmall M. Dad, however, preferred the ride of the M; he liked the steel seat with the spring/shock combo. An 8 hour day in either and you felt like you were farming.

My biggest/nicest ride was a JD 8300 and you had to put in about three 16 hour days in a row before you felt like you were farming. Air ride/quiet cab/A-C (among the others) is hard to beat. I like the creature comforts, myself.

good luck -jim
