EC MN - Hour North of 'The Cities'
Brandon,

What type of tillage are you doing?

We run 1 rubber Deere wheel and 1 Dawn Curvetine on our 1770NT Planter.

I ran on the first notch this past spring without any problems on our minimum tilled fields here in East Central MN on sandy loam soils.

Make sure you don't 'squeeze' the trench with extra pressure on the closing wheel setup as it will be tough to get roots to grow out from the trench walls.

Never hurts to dig and check how things look after a planter pass or two. Sometimes I'll check when we switch to different amounts of tillage or soil types.
