Central NE | I just deal w/ flatbeds. They are in pretty good demand right now since some large carriers went out of business. Generally w/flatbeds "here" in Nebraska loads heading east pay around 1.50 per mile, most trucks make their money loading in the east and hauling west for 3.00 per mile. The further west you are,(wyoming, utah) the cheaper per mile they pay to haul back east. There is just more flat freight moving this way. The highest rates are for hauling pricey stuff that takes paperwork and alot of insurance.
