W.C. Mo. | Been away for a couple days and just read your post below. Didn't know if you would get down there again so reposted here... Had pig nursary years ago with hot water heating in each room. Needed extra heat when bringing in 10 day old weaners so did same as you are considering. Hooked truck radiator to return line with old vari-speed fan. 2 thermostats, one for air and one in floor in each room. Floor always required more heat than air. I put a manual bypass valve at radiator to shut off flow as pigs got bigger and in summer, while floor heat continued.. The vaiable speed fan would speed up as air temp dropped and push more heat into room. Worked great till I got out of the hog biz.
One more idea. you might put temp sensor outside and have boiler run hotter as outside temp drops and inversly cooler as outside temp raises.
How are you going to monitor root temp? remote thermotats? | |
