DE | refurbishing a 1985 JCB 1550B backhoe. It originally had just a rollbar/canopy. Previous owner made some home made doors and windows frames and installed plexiglass. The plexiglass is mounted with regular rubber molding (no bolts or screws) so tempered glass could be used in place of it. The plexiglass is scratched and not as clear as it use to be and if the sun hits it just right, it is next to impossible to see through. I would like to use tempered glass if not cost prohibitive. What is the going price for tempered glass a square foot, having it cut to size and installed at a qualified glass installer? Will it be substantially more, worth the cost? I'm snowed in today and thought I would ask. thanks.
edit: it does have factory front windshield that is tempered, I assume. It is fine, clear as can be.
