Hard to tell without your location, probably best to check with those no-tilling in your area.

"Here" most people have gone away from coulters in the last few years. Mainly because it brings up cooler wetter soil, may not be as much of a problem in beans because usually later and cool soil is not as much of a problem by the time we get to planting beans. Edit: You do need to keep your openers sharp-replace them before they are completely worn down.

But if you are doing 30" rows just split the rows and you will be fine.
