Subject: RE: Main Electric Disconnect

How many amps do you want to send to the second building? Can you put a 200 amp panel in the first building and then send so many amps to the second building via a breaker in the 200 amp panel. Your second building would be a sub panel of the first building Depending on local codes or NEC you may have to have a disconnect near where your line penetrates the second building. If this is single phase make sure you 4-wire the panels-2 phase conductors, 1 neutral and 1 ground. 3-phase needs to be 5-wired. If you have animals on the farm you really need to make sure it is 4/5 wired.

Or you can install a 200 amp panel that has feed through lugs to supply power to the second building.
