Here corn has a bigger opportunity for expanded yields than bean. Meaning this. Corn can yield 180 bu ave., but in a good year it can go to 220 bu. That is a 18% increase. Beans do not fluxuate that much here. 40 more bu of corn at $4 is $160 increase That would take a 20 bu increase in bean yields, (160 / $8 = 20 bu ) Beans are not likely to do that.
