Couple of questions. First how is the fertilizer getting on the ground? On the seed in front behind? Don't known much about Alpine 7-22-4 but 5 gallons on the seed might be causing your lose of seed with salt burn. The other is on your system is it a ground driven pump? I just run it by hand to see if the flow is about the same on all or if some are getting more than the others. I use a Demco Little Thumper pump that runs into a stainless steel 12 row splitter., from there it runs to a stainless steel tube that shoots the stream behind the seed. I think the fertilizer is hitting dirt and not on the seed and is covered with the closing wheels. Start of the season I run water in my tanks then drive around to flush out the anti-freeze and then hand turn everything to see that they are running about the same then fill and go. Been putting on 8.8 gallons for the last 8 years with no trouble.
