Pays here-I am just always nervous about getting it on-one poorly timed 4" rain like we have had the last couple years and you are out of luck.

I put down what I need to grow average or slightly above average before planting. Then when the corn is about 12-14" tall if it is looking like it is off to a good start I pick the better ground and "swing for the fences" and put down 10gal per acre of 28% (about 30 lbs). Just started doing this 2 years ago, I will say the best corn we had both years had been the sidedressed.
