Subject: Precision Cone Seeder

Hi All,

I visited Colfax Tractor Parts in Colfax, IA while I was in Des Moines for the No-Till conference.   I found a planter there, a 4 row JD 7000 I think, that had a type of meter on it I had never seen before.   Doing some investigation, I found out it is called a "Precision Cone Seeder".  I've tried to look at the websites and see how they work.  I can't understand and I'm very curious.  I have to admit I didn't look real close at the one I found but I wondered if anyone could explain how they work and what they are for.   The websites I've found say they are used for plot work and vegetables.   How?

Thanks

Mike
