Callao, Missouri | I run a IH 800 and IH 950. The thing that might help on sod is in-trench insecticide. I have a lot of sod to plant this year as well, and haven't added any insecticide capabilities yet. Make sure the openers and boots are in good shape, and have the downpressure springs in the max position. This is the place where the cyclo planters do the best job. Also be prepared to really hunt for the marker track, especially if you are planting the same way NH3 was run.
I would spray that ground as soon as possible and burn it if I could before planting. A rain after burning it will keep the ash from causing trouble with machinery.
