| I'd go with radials, especially if you are replacing all the tires at once. My 20' steel gooseneck had 14 ply 7.50R-16 tubeless radial trailer tires on it when I got it so that is what I have stayed with. I have a bumper pull flatbed with 235-16 10 ply rated radial pickup tires on it. Be prepared for sticker shock whichever way you go. I'd say the 14 ply tires would be best, especially for a 24" trailer. That's a LOT of weight when you think about it.
I have an older 16' bumper pull stock trailer with bias 7.00-15 on it now. Bias tires are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Co-op didn't have one the last time I needed a tire replaced so I bought a new radial and have it as a spare now. Next time I have to replace a tire I will buy a radial to match and put on both ends of the same axle. | |
